Anne Veerpalu
Anne Veerpalu is an attorney at law and founding partner of TECH x LEGAL, a technology law firm specializing in advising high-growth IT and iGaming companies. She chairs the IP and IT Law Committee of the Estonian Bar Association, runs the Tech Startup Legal Clinic at the University of Tartu, and co-organizes the Estonian Legal Hackers chapter and Estonian Female Attorneys Network meetups. Anne is a pioneer in legal design, a founder of the Legal Design Circle Estonia, and a creator for Startup101.legal. She also founded the legaltech startup Hectovault, now in the Tehnopol Startup Incubation program. Anne holds a PhD in IT Law, focusing on blockchain technology and continues her research in Web3 and technology neutrality in regulatory design. In 2022, she received the Diamond of the Year Award from the Estonian Bar Association for her contributions to gender equality and women empowerment in the legal profession.
